Traveling the world to check out the latest tech is a perk of my job. And getting to try out new gadgets is cool… like a motorized, rechargeable suitcase that can help you get from ^Gate A to B.

And there was plenty to see at IFA Berlin.. starting with robots. Whether you’re looking for a pet… or you need some help around the house.
This robot is smart enough to sort your socks… And while that’s a neat idea it’s slow as molasses .

Watch my FULL video and see the tech in action at IFA Berlin 2025

Robots are definitely a theme… Of course those of you who watch my channel are familiar with cleaning robots.

Ecovacs announced its brand new DEEBOT X11, and you can watch my full review of that already here on the channel. The company also showed off a new mini floor robot, ideal for small apartments, which for now is only available in Europe.Sister brand Tineco also had several new products to share including a new floor washer that the company is CEO calls ‘Cyber’.

With a bit of retro squareish design it’s a departure from other similar products. This one also has a new innovation courtesy of a spray nozzle in front that can load on the cleaning solution to better attack bigger messes.

I really like this idea and it seems to work well in my demonstration here at the show. I’ll be looking forward to get hands on with it hopefully later this year.

Robot lawnmowers are also huge right now. Nearly a dozen companies I saw all had their own version.

I was really excited about this model from Yarbo… yes it’s huge and extremely rugged looking. A lot more like a tank than a robot lawnmower but this one is actually modular; you can see it will tow stuff around your yard which could be handy:

There’s the engine component which you can attach different modules too; like one for cutting the lawn, or even a
separate one for snowblowing.

There’s also a leaf blower attachment. All these modules would be ideal for a full season in Calgary and I’d love to get my hands on this one for testing. There was plenty to see with new televisions…#5639, including ones that take the art TV concept of blending right into your wall to new heights.

I also saw plenty of products that seem like good ideas on paper but are less clever in their execution. Like this dog collar with tracking that is so big and thick I can’t imagine it would be comfortable for any dog to wear. Even the stuffed kind.

Same idea here; Cosori redesigned it’s popular air fryer in a stainless steel version. While the finish is pretty, it’s got an odd reverse mushroom design?I’m definitely excited about some new offerings from Govee.
The company has a bunch of new smart lights including a much larger and more light intensive permanent outdoor light. These new lights are far brighter and allow for a lot more colour blending for a variety of affects.

The company also redesigned its curtain lights dubbing it curtain lights pro with a lot more LED bulbs in the mix now which should mean you can create more detail and more accurate animations in your light. Cool.

Speaking of lights… I saw some cool new projectors from Xgimi. From compact and portable to more permanent home theatre installations these projectors are far brighter than projectors past. They’re able to show much more detail and much truer colors. Home theatre buffs definitely have something to get excited about here.

Another trend I’m seeing is open earbuds like these from Beyer Dynamic. Open earbuds don’t jam up your ear canal and let you stay tuned to what’s around you. These in particular are ultra comfortable and like wearing nothing at all. Some other new technology that’s caught my eye involves needing nothing at all with you when you leave the house. This new smart lock by TCL uses what’s called palm vein technology where it essentially reads the veins in your hand and uses that unique pattern to unlock your door. Very interesting idea that’s still quite new.

What technology are yo8u finding most interesting right now? Let me know in the comments..
