Our food and our phones have become indelibly connected. It started with snapping photos of amazing meals, then devolved to Instagramming every meal no matter how mediocre. Now our phones can order food, search recipes and even show us video tutorials for the perfect risotto.

There are a number of great apps that can do all kinds of food-related tasks. Download these to make cooking, booking, or ordering food quicker and easier.

Coupgon
Coupgon is a digital coupon-clipping app. You tell Coupgon where you like to shop, and it tells you what’s on sale. Browse different stores or just surf the sales and once you’ve decided what you’ll buy, the cashier scans your phone and the coupons are automatically applied.

Allrecipes
One of the icons of online recipes, Allrecipes is a fully searchable recipe database that features photos, detailed instructions and Allrecipes’ rating system so you can stick with only the best recipes.

Foodspotting
Much more than a restaurant rating app, Foodspotting focuses on specific dishes diners should order. Just like looking admiringly into a bakery case at the petit fours and pastries, Foodspotting allows you to preview delicious creations, feasting with your eyes before you buy.

Convert Units
This app is indispensable for home cooks. The easy to use interface has a whole section for cooking conversions; swap tablespoons to cups, or ounces to liters with the touch of a button. Plus it’s got a host of other conversions it can do from temperature (Celsius to Fahrenheit) or speed and mileage.

MyFitnessPal
If you’re trying to lose weight or be healthy it can be helpful to keep a food journal. But who has time to figure out calories and write everything down?
MyFitnessPal does all of that for you. Scan a food label and the info is automatically input to the app, and it can calculate whether you’re eating enough calories or too many. You can also add food manually or search for ingredients and dishes to have them added to your tally.

ShopShop
An easy to use shopping list app, ShopShop keeps things easy when making a grocery list. Just tap to add items to the list, grab and drag them to organize, then once you’re in the store, a simple tap crosses the items you’ve grabbed off the list.
