This month on CTV Tech talk we looked at gadgets that can help improve your health.
Burst Toothbrush
I’ve somehow slipped down a strange rabbit hole. Without even trying, I think I’ve reviewed nearly half a dozen different smart toothbrushes. And I still get requests to check out more. The latest to cross my desk is called Burst.
Burst is a sleek looking, jet-black brush rechargeable electric toothbrush that looks like it was born in the Matrix. Of course it’s got some smarts and some unique features too. The brush has a soft-looking brush head with… black bristles.
Everything about this brush looks cool, but it’s also got the features you need in an electric brush. Burst says it vibrates at 33,000 sonic vibrations per minute, which helps keep the brush from wearing down your teeth.

Vitastiq Vitamin Tracker
Vitastiq Vitamin TrackerThe Viqastiq pen is used by pressing the soft metallic tip against pressure points on your hands, feet and elsewhere (depending on how detailed a measurement you want to do). Your readings are monitored with an app on your smartphone so you can compare and contrast them
from day to day and week to week.
The overall intent is that you’ll use Vitastiq to measure trends over time. My testing culminated in a blood test to compare what Vitastiq was showing me, compared to what my doctor was able to measure.

SleepPhones headphones
SleepPhones are soft, padded, wireless headphones designed to be worn in bed. These padded headphones have tiny speakers that sit over and above your ear so there’s nothing sticking in your ear all night to irritate you.

Inside the soft cushiony band are the two speakers and a Bluetooth module which controls the phones. The **Contest is closed)module is removable for re-charging via a micro USB cable.
SleepPhones are quite comfortable to wear and to sleep in. I’m a side sleeper, and as such have never been able to wear headphones to bed. I do listen to podcasts to fall asleep each night, so my solution is to play audio from my iPad’s speaker on low volume from the bedside table. Fortunately, my husband doesn’t mind, but I’d rather not subject him to noise.
With SleepPhones, I can lay comfortably on either side, and still listen to my shows, without disturbing my husband. Brilliant! There’s also no cords to get tangled up in overnight, another annoyance.

I envisioned a device like Vitastiq Vitamin Tracker would be available in the future and here it is. I hope something similar will be available soon to detect illness as well as vitamin deficiencies.

Today’s segment was very interesting. I have had a similar skin test done at my naturopath’s office. It would be very convenient to be able to test my body for vitamin and mineral content at home by using the Vitastiq. Thank you for presenting the new Vitastiq.
The Vitastiq is especially interesting to me as I am working on trying to sort out many symptoms, most of which are pain related. The Vitastiq would really assist me in knowing where I am, or may be deficient and would give me some backing when talking to my doctor on next steps.
As a Health Care provider I tend to overlook my own health and wellness. The Vitastiq sounds like an excellent piece of tech that will quickly and easily identify any potential vitamin deficiencies that I might incur due to stress, a fast-paced job, and on-the-go (occasionally poor) eating habits.
Love learning about new technology and you do a great job of enlightening me. I travel a lot and the SleepPhones look like a great idea and I would love to try them.

It was really enlighten to learn that there is a Japanese charcoal called Binchotan that is proven to absorb impurities for brighter, whiter teeth. I like you find myself being too aggressive with brushing my teeth so would love the control of the soft brush and time quidance it offers when brushing.
Burst seems like the perfect fit for me especially with no worries of changing the brush with the Burst 3 month replacement program.
