I test out dozens of products and gadgets every year. There’s always a few that stand out among the rest. So if you’re thinking of picking up a new device for Black Friday check out some of the best gadgets I reviewed in 2025.
ECOVACS X11 OmniCyclone
I’ve reviewed many robot vacuums over the years, and the one that really stood out for me this year is the ECOVACS DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone. It cleans like a dream; both vacuuming and mopping with its new OZMO roller. Plus with a powerful 19,500 Pascals of suction power, the DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone is a total boss while running impressively quietly too. It’s also packed with serious brain power thanks to the AIVI 3D 3.0 sensor and True Pass Navigation which contributes to better object recognition that helps it climb over obstacles and prevents it from getting stuck.
It also features the new PowerBoost™ fast-charging technology, which significantly reduces charging time—making it ideal for large homes that require long, continuous cleaning sessions.
You’ve got to check out the full review to get the entire picture and since Black Friday sale prices are already on, it’s a no-brainer.
ECOVACS X9
If the ECOVACS X11 is out of the budget range, the ECOVACS X9 is the next best thing. It may be the X11’s predecessor, but the X9 is still not even a year old and the price has dropped by quite a bit while still offering plenty of flagship features. The X9’s mopping performance really stood out to me as it uses the same OZMO roller mopping system, which applies 16 times downward pressure to take care of messy spills—you can watch my full video review to see it in action.
And the Black Friday deal for the X9 has already officially started — it dropped to $699 on November 10th.
The 16,600 Pascals of suction power remains more powerful than many vacuums released in the last year and the ZeroTangle 3.0 system keeps your rollers hair- and tangle-free. ECOVACS even baked some AI love into the vacuum with its Yiko AI voice assistant that I like for quickly controlling the robot.
Tineco S9 Artist Steam
If you need a bit more power for your floors, you’ve got to watch my full review of the Tineco S9 Artist Steam because of its ease in picking up both solids and liquids—think a spilled bowl of cereal gobbled up in an instant– while sanitizing my floors with heated steam.
I was able to do it all without breaking a sweat because the power-assisted Smooth Drive feature makes maneuvering a breeze—you don’t have to push and pull it, it glides itself right across your floors with ease. Plus areas under beds and furniture are no challenge because I can lay it flat to clean under even low rise furniture too.
Best of all, when the work is finished, just place it in the dock and run a self cleaning feature. It rinses out the internals then washes and dries the roller mop brush so that it’s fresh and clean for the next task.
Midea OneTouch AutoFill Refrigerator
2025 was the year I irrationally fell in love with a new refrigerator. I found the Midea OneTouch AutoFill Refrigerator, just when I had given up hope of finding a fridge that was truly different from all the others. For starters the OneTouch AutoFill ice and water dispenser lets you set any glass in the fridge and it will fill it perfectly automatically every time.
This is a great option if you have kids who are constantly overfilling and sloshing. The overall design is absolutely clever; with the infinite shelf, you can push it back out of the way to accommodate taller items anytime. And the companion infinite door bin also means you don’t have to unload the fridge before adjusting shelf height. I also absolutely love the bright LED lighting and reflective back that keeps the entire fridge well lit and all your leftovers visible.
Plus, with more tech packed in like door ajar alerts to your phone, this is a super smart appliance.
Bose Soundlink Plus
If you’re looking for a new portable speaker, the Bose Soundlink Plus ticked all the boxes for me. The Soundlink Plus is one of Bose’s more powerful Bluetooth speakers yet it sounds incredibly balanced and well tuned. If you enjoy those hip bassy tracks, the Soundlink Plus does a better job amplifying the bass than the cheaper Soundlink Flex and you can customize the effect to your liking with the customizable EQ. With an IP67 waterproof rating, the Soundlink Plus is a terrific outdoor speaker and it floats on water too!
Ninja Slushi
No matter the season it’s always fun to bring a little summer to your life and this appliance is hands-down one of my favourite kitchen appliances of the year.
The Ninja Slushi does just what the name says and it will be your family’s go-to kitchen gadget because it works … really well! The machine is super simple to use: just pour soda, juice or a mixed drink into the tank and let it run. The machine both mixes and chills the liquid to create a beautiful drink that kids will go crazy for, and even the adults will enjoy at cocktail hour.
You can also make milkshakes, frozen coffee, and even frozen wine!. The machine runs super silent and cleaning the machine was actually pretty easy too! The full review is on Erin Lawrence TV so make sure to check it out to learn all the details.
Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition
Reading a book on a monochrome display is so 2010 and I’m not suggesting you get an iPad, a Samsung tablet, or even a Kindle Fire. Kindle finally released a color e-reader last year and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with it.
Obviously, this is the Kindle to get if you want to see those charts and graphics in your Kindle books in full color without straining your eyes, but I recommend spending extra on the Signature Edition because it comes with some useful features, like the auto-adjusting brightness feature. You can also charge it wirelessly and it has double the storage capacity of the original Colorsoft allowing you to store up to 32 GB of rich content.
Urtopia Joy E-bike
I never thought there would be an e-bike that combines power and stability in a lightweight package until the Urtopia Joy E-bike proved me wrong. The seat feels very comfortable and has fat tires adding ride stability across different terrain. The power assistance is quite generous as well with four levels available while the bike itself is far lighter than your average E-bike and is easy to load in a car because of its carbon fiber frame. It also takes just 2 and a half hours to charge which is faster than the other E-bikes I tried.
Kwikset Halo Select Smart Lock
There’s a lot of reputable smart lock brands out there, but if you are getting one for the first time, I recommend the Kwikset Halo Select Smart Lock for its super easy installation. I had no trouble following the installation guide and after less than 15 minutes, I had it all set up. It even has this cool extra security layer called Secure Screen which prompts for a random passcode prior to entering the actual code onto your door so a thief couldn’t easily look for fingerprints and guess your passcode
The screen itself is surprisingly responsive and it even supports the Matter protocol.
