If you’ve bought or are considering the all new 2021 Samsung Frame TV, you might be wondering about installation: How does it get installed? Can you set it on furniture instead? Is it easy to wall mount and is the wall mount included? You’ve come to the right place for all your questions about how to install the 2021 Samsung Frame TV. Don’t forget you can see the full hands-on review right here also to get the most out of your new TV.

How to install 2021 Samsung Frame TV

To believably pose as a painting while not showing video, this TV, in my opinion, has to be correctly mounted, and that means wall hanging it. There are feet included with the Frame just in case, but I’ve already stored them in a drawer, and you should as well.

The wall mount kit

The wall mount on the Frame TV (Samsung has called it the No-Gap Wall Mount) is significantly different from the original too; here two hinged metal hooks attache to the TV then will slide right into a completely flat two-piece bracket system that affixes to the wall. The previous version tucked into a recessed panel behind the TV and articulated a bit. With this one you need to measure perfectly and install the Samsung Frame TV exactly where you need it because there’s really no adjusting it.

I’d say it took us about an hour for Samsung Frame TV installation and most of that was measuring, finding studs and double checking. The instructions are pretty easy and it’s not hard to do, but it did take time to get it right.

Installation steps

Here are your Samsung Frame TV 2021 mounting instructions:

You’ll need to locate the studs in your wall, then decide precisely where you want to hang it, because there’s not really any way to adjust the TV once it’s on the wall mount. A paper template helps you get things positioned exactly right.

The mount requires four screws in total, two in each side of the mount and at least two of the four need to be in a stud. In our older house this was a bit of a problem since the studs aren’t quite perfectly spaced, but the wall mount has a few different options for where you can place the screws.

One note: Because our installation package only included masonry anchors and not drywall anchors, if you can’t get all four screws into a stud as we couldn’t, you may need to go to the home improvement store to acquire some drywall anchors to complete a safe installation.
After securely screwing the steel cleats to the wall in the proper location, screw the twin brackets to the back of the Frame TV.

Before you move on, you’ll need to connect the Samsung One Connect Box cable into the back and clip it into place (if you’re installing the cable inside the wall you’ll also need to run it through before you connect it to the TV of course). Then pull out the hanging clips on the back of the Frame TV. Samsung recommends two people lift the TV into place for safety, so when you’re ready, carefully hang it on the wall.
