There’s a new provider of mobile and wireless accessories like cables, power banks and charging gadgets. Ventev, a US-based maker of gadgetry and smartphone gear, has arrived in Canada.
I recently had a chance to try out some of the gear, and was very impressed with its durability, sleek styling, simple design and versatility.
Ventev designs and manufactures accessories like chargers, cases, and battery power packs. A couple of the items I really liked in particular:
The Ventev Wall Charging Hub 200 allows you to charge your device without having to unplug and sacrifice your outlet. It gives you fast charging while keeping an open AC outlet, because it’s got a USB port integrated right into it. Handy!
But because I’m a tech junkie, blogger and I’m always charging something, I needed a bit more.

The USB Charging Hub RQ600 gives me power for up to six devices at once – finally! All the power I need and only one outlet gets used! Aside from 5 standard USB ports, there’s a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 USB port which allows for faster charging of compatible devices (like HP and LG smartphones).
Ventev has sexy cords and cables too. I picked out the rose gold Chargesync alloy Apple lightning cable . At 4 feet in length, it’s just a bit longer than a standard Apple cable so it gives me a bit more room. These cables, in addition to coming in fun colours, are a little stiffer than basic cords, thanks to the brushed aluminum housing. It’s also got a high tensile braided wrap which won’t ever fray.
I prefer vent dash mounts above all others because they don’t require you putting adhesives on your car’s dashboard or on the phone. This mount keeps my smartphone safely in place and in view and it’s fully manouverable.
Finally, I can’t ever be without portable power. When I’m blogging, Instagramming or working on something important, I can’t afford for my phone to die. Ventev’s power banks, like the compact but powerful powercell 3015 battery charger, are easy to bring on the go. The 3015 is slim and light, and with 3000mAh portable battery power, you’ll have enough juice for 12+ hours of talk time without adding a lot of weight to my bag.
When I needed more juice, I grabbed the Powercell 6000, which has the capacity to charge any two devices simultaneously, including wearable devices. This 6000mAh portable battery delivers enough power for 25 hours of talk time and 20 hours of 4G internet.
The full line is now shipping to Canada.
